Pet Description: Miss Momma Carol (as in Brady, Carol Brady) has quite the story to tell. This sweet, shy lady was being cared for with a cat colony, but was friendly enough to receive pets at feeding time. She's not yet loving being picked up but may come around with extra love and patience. The colony caretaker took Miss Carol and others from the colony in for a trap neuter release, but Miss Carol had other plans. She was given her pre-sedative medication, which was immediately reversed when she went into labor, delivering 5 beautiful little ones. The TNR group scrambled to find placement and was able to secure a temporary foster, who had just happened to get a bottle baby a few days older than Carol's babies, the day before. Miss Momma Carol took him in as one of her own and raised him. She raised her babies up beautifully and was the purrfect momma. She also did this while having a severe mouth infection which we were not able to medicate when the kittens were still fulltime nursing. She received 2 rounds of antibiotics before she was safe to go in for her dental and spay. She had 11 teeth pulled, but poor momma Carol stayed strong. The vet thought it was not going to be that bad. She is healed from surgery and feeling so much better. She even occasionally will ask for pets from her foster dad, but is more reserved around people she doesn't know. Could you be her patient, loving, purrfect furrever?
