Shelter: Louie's Legacy Animal Rescue
Pet Description: You would never know that muscular Cash, with his sleek brindle coat, contagious smile, and always-wagging tail, did not have an easy life before he was rescued. Cash lived on a chain, where he was taunted by children, before being abandoned in the woods with an injury that required emergency veterinary care. Fast forward to now, and Cash is living the good life! Cash adjusted to indoor life without skipping a beat - he is great in his crate, quiet through the night, and runs straight to the door to go outside! Cash LOVES other dogs, and is fostered with large and small dogs of both genders and varying energy levels and personality types, and he loves them all! Other dogs do not always always appreciate Cash's exuberance for life, so for their sake, no grouches or "stick in the mud" companions, please... unless there's a like-minded buddy to play with as well! Cash wants to play play play, and loves to share his favorite toys with his doggy friends! Cash is not reactive or aggressive towards cats, but may invade their personal space more than most cats are comfortable with! Cash has endless energy, and needs a fenced in yard to run in. He is still learning to keep "four on the floor," and should go to homes with sturdy children only. Cash gets overwhelmed with excitement when not given direction, but responds well to his owner in all situations, so an owner familiar with pit bulls and their need for ongoing training is ideal. Fifty-pound Cash is only 1 year old, and can't wait to join his new family on a thousand adventures to meet new friends! Cash is well-trained and easy to handle, and will thrive under the care of any pit-experienced owner.
