Pet Description: Meet Daffodil! Daffodil is a 1-year-old, 35lb, Australian Cattle Dog mix who is quick to bloom and is sure to bring so much joy to your life, just like her namesake! She has a slight case of stranger danger, but with a little reassurance (treats), she warms up very quickly. And with the proper introductions, Daffodil loves playing with her doggie friends, especially chasing each other around the yard. No one can catch her when she's in speed mode! She does have some puppy tendencies like mouthing her fellow canines, so any potential future siblings should be tolerant of her youthful shenanigans. She also can be a bit protective of her toys around other dogs. Daffodil is curious about the cats she sees on her walks. She has lived with cats and she was a bit too energetic for them. She hasn't been around cats in a home yet, so we're not sure how she would react to them. Daffodil's fetch game is on point - she always brings the ball back to you so she can keep playing! She would be the ideal running partner, as she doesn't get distracted by outside smells and like to stride right alongside her person. Daffodil is completely house and crate trained. She would benefit from a structured schedule to continue her training. Once she's in her crate, she settles quickly and sleeps through the night accident-free. Daffodil's satellite ears aren't just for decoration! She's an excellent listener! She is learning commands and is really getting the hang of 'sit', 'down', and 'shake'. If your family is looking for the perfect kid and dog-friendly pup to complement your active lifestyle, then Daffodil is your girl!
