Ivory

Pet Description: Meet Ivory! She is the definition of Rescue! We believe she is 2 year-ish lab mix. She arrived at a rural Kentucky shelter with scary wounds and injuries. Upon arriving in Ohio, one injured paw was still giving her trouble. X-rays show metal fragments and healing fractures. Was someone shooting at her?! What a miracle that despite her ordeal all she wants is human attention and affection. That's right...she is a velcro dog that will be right next you on the couch. Right next to you as you cook dinner. Will approve every work outfit you pull out of the closet. She prefers the drivers seat in the car. She does a hundred jumps for joy each time you come home. She is learning basic manners but it sooooo hard to do when you are soooooo happy to be in a home with a human and big foster brother to love (big as in size not age)! She has fantastic recall when you even whisper her name or look in her direction. She sits for her food-in a slow feeder because she inhales in seconds. She goes into her crate on command.. She is walking well with a Gentle Leader even when the Canadian geese are tempting her. We are working through some resource guarding and timing for outside potty breaks. When she plays in the mud with her foster brother, we change her name from Ivory to Mocha. Thankfully her paws are smaller and she waits as we wipe them off. She also waits or tries to help with his paws which neither of us appreciate. She loves a kong or basically any toy her foster brother has in the moment. But what she wants most of all is YOU!
