Kang

Pet Description: Be prepared for your space to officially be invaded with this cute little love bug Kang aka Kangaroo! Kang is a three year old Rat Terrier possible Min Pin mix. Kang is the perfect small dog weighing in at about 15 pounds. Kang is an expert cuddler and loves to find the warmest place to achieve that task. He will snuggle up on your lap laying his head right on your shoulder. Kang also loves hiding under the covers in the most comfortable, soft blanket he can find. Kang has been doing very well in his foster home meeting all the dogs. His newest best friend is a mastiff lab mix weighing in about sixty pounds. He loves to nip at his nose and then follows up with lots of snuggling and kisses that are exchanged between these two. Kang has met many more dogs in his foster home of all sizes, ages and male and female. He has done wonderful with all of them. Kang is doing very well with his training. He is fantastic in the crate while foster mom is at work. He is doing well with his potty training! Kang seems to know the command sit and of course likes a treat when he has accomplished that task. He loves his toys but can be a little small dog territorial with them, the bigger dogs just look at him and ignore him though. Kang has had a rough go of it and would need a patient adopter who is willing to work through some things with him. He bonds mainly towards woman and seems to be afraid of men and can react with barks and growls. Kang also needs an adopter who will go at a slow pace when being introduced to knew things including people. He should be introduced to new people outside of the home on walks or neutral areas. Once he bonds he tends to be a bit guardy towards his person because he is unsure of what is going on. Kang would definitely benefit from someone who has experience with these types of behaviors or willing to learn through a trainer. Kang is a very loveable guy but he is typical to the breed and that accompanied with finding his way to a rural shelter then to rescue has been a bit overwhelming to this guy. A low traffic home is also suggested for Kang. Kang is a quick learner though and very responsive to foster mom working with him and he definitely wants to be the best version of himself.
