Mittens

Pet Description: Mittens spent the first 12 years of her life in the devoted care of her former owner. Loved and well cared for, she followed her owner initially to a senior care facility. But recently her owner, in order to receive the level of care that she needed, was moved to a memory care unit, and needed to leave her cats behind. After 12 years of consistent care, Mittens (and her brother, Marky) came into HART's care in order to find their next "forever" home Mittens is a sweet cat who is initially a bit aloof and wants to set her own time frame for a meet and greet. She quickly moved from shyness to exploring her environment and then made herself available for gentle pets and head scratches. By day 3, she was greeting us at the door! While she and Marky tolerate each other, they do not appear to be bonded, and have very different personalities. I do think Mittens (or Marky) would be fine in a home with or without other cats.
