Nilla

Pet Description: Are you prepared for immediate belly rubs and for your wallet to get small from buying as many of the dog treats as possible? If so Nilla, a 2-year-old Lab Mix weighing in at about 55 pounds is on the lookout for a new furever!! Nilla has been doing very well in her foster home and when meeting new people, she will roll over for belly rubs. She is a very treat motivated dog and seems to already know sit. Nilla, loves to curl up with foster mom on the couch and lounge the day away after a run around the yard and a big meal. She also loves to ride in the car and will often look out the back window! Nilla is fostered with three dogs (lab mix, aussie mix, and a medium size JRT mix) and is doing well with them. Nilla can be a bit dominant around the dogs, but since the resident dogs are secure with themselves and calm, they do not react to her. She also came to transport with a Shepard mix that she would love to play around in the shelter yard with. Nilla does better with doggies that are less nervous and medium to large dogs. At her foster home, she spends a significant amount of time out with the resident dogs and does amazing, pretty much ignoring them. Nilla is doing well working on her training. She is doing great with her potty training. She will need some help with walking on a leash, as she can pull. Nilla is working on her crate training, but it definitely is not her favorite place. Nilla came to Louie's from a very over crowded shelter where she was found as a stray. Once she settles, she is a low key girl that will be down for whatever plans you have for the day.
