Pet Description: Meet Rhodes! He is a 1.5 year-old Mixed Breed weighing in at about 50lbs. Rhodes has a message to convey to any of the families out there looking to adopt! Rhodes says he may not be the fluffiest dog, he may not be what they term "a desirable breed" or the dog that will stop traffic because his unique looks, but he makes up in the lack of all that with his amazing personality. Rhodes is a favorite according to foster mom and will make any adopter a happy one. Rhodes found himself at a very overcrowded rural shelter and his fate was quickly becoming a concern as space was a huge issue. Thankfully they reached out to Louie's for help! Rhodes loves to hang out in the front seat of the car and go for rides with foster mom. Rhodes is amazing with other dogs! He has met a wide range of dogs in his foster home: old dogs, young dogs, hyper dogs, small dogs, large dogs, grouchy dogs, you name it, he has meet them. Rhodes will pay with his foster sister from another mother, Rainee and when tired, he will snuggle up to foster mom for some love and nap time. While Rhodes does have some energy, he also has no problems living a low key lifestyle as foster mom has a low energy home. Rhodes is doing amazing with his training. He is working on his house training, using the restroom outside for the most part. He does okay on the leash but could use some skills. He is fantastic in the crate with no issues whatsoever. If you could assign a human behavior to Rhodes, it would be one of appreciativeness. He is so happy to be living in a foster home with all the treats offered to dogs. He loves the bones he got at the pharmacy and the bacon in the drive through. He loves the seat warmer in the car when taking his rides. Rhodes is just an amazing guy that would be a companion for years to come.
